The three manuscripts are part of the Romanian translation of the Bible by Gala Galaction together with Vasile Radu, under the patronage of the Romanian Patriarchy. The manuscript pages, written by Galaction Gala in in black and blue ink and in pencil, contain numerous text interventions, corrections, additions and paging indications for printing. "Geneza" ("The Genesis") has 93 pages, "Cartea lui Iosua" ("The Book of Joshua") has 20 pages, and "Cartea lui Iov" ("The Book of Job") has 21 pages, all of them being parts of the Old Testament. Gala Galaction’s signature is present on some pages, and on others the date of the translation, important elements indicating that work started as early as in 1935. In the Genesis, two pages were copied by one of the writer’s daughters, Maria, on a draft of her own letter and corrected by Galaction by hand. The pages are of different types and sizes and show traces of the passage of time.
