This copy is complete. The binding is made of cardboard plates wrapped in greenish paper, with leather on the book spine and in the corners. It is a modern binding, decorated with motifs of typographical composition. The title of the book is printed on the book spine: "Kantemir, Geschichte des osmanische Reichs". The copy contains no markings regarding the readers or the ownership. The book is an editorial colligatum, being translated from English into German by Johann Laurent Schmid and printed by Christian Herold. The copy belongs to the German edition Geschichte des Osmanischen Reichs. Regarding the succession of the pages, an engraving of the diagram of Constantinople is found at the beginning, by C. Fritzsch, title page, 1 sheet only printed on the back, p. 1-12, with text continued from p. 11 to 64 + 852 pages + 1 sheet, with the erratum only printed on the front. The book contains all 22 lithographs of the sultans’ portraits, owing to the engravers Martin Tyroff and Georg-Daniel Heumann.
