The two Romanian Greek-Catholic intellectuals, the linguist and historian Timotei Cipariu (1805-1887), a founding member of the Romanian Academy, and the clergyman Simion Balint (1810-1880), one of the prefects of the Romanian legions in Transylvania in 1848, corresponded about the studies of two young Romanians at the Greek-Catholic seminary in Blaj where Cipariu was a professor. The letter, written by him in black ink, dated and signed, was sent to Balint to Roșia Montană where he was a priest.
