Hector Bolitho (1897-1974) was a very hardworking writer and author of several biographies of great personalities. Originally from New Zealand, he settled in England where he became famous. In 1938, he made a trip to Romania and was received at Cotroceni by the Romanian royal family, and the following year he published in London this propaganda work in favour of Romania, in which Great Britain had an important strategic interest linked to Romanian oil resources.
