In addition to his position as leader of the Junimea Society, literary critic, professor at the University of Bucharest, member of the Romanian Academy, lawyer, Titu Maiorescu also played an important political role in the Conservative Party, which he led as president in 1913. The quality of president of the party brought to the government automatically ensured his quality of the President of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister) From this position he chaired the Peace Congress in Bucharest which ended the Second Balkan War.
