tempera and gold foil on wood, 61 x 45 cm, 61 Ã 45 cm
Jesus Christ, rendered below the waist, clad in red chiton and olive-green himation, decorated with stylised plant motifs, blesses with his right hand while his left hand is holding the Gospel open. The face is made graphically, the eyes are over-sised. Around his head he wears a cruciform halo, next to his small shoulders, above some stylised clouds are the intercessors Mother of Christ and John the Baptist.
