PROVENANCE
Maria Victoria Dimo, a great art lover and distinguished collector, was the granddaughter of sculptor Pavelescu Dimo. The Dimos came from a family of Macedonian Aromanians settled in Oltenia around 1784. The grandfather of sculptor Pavelescu Dimo was Mihali A. Mannos (who signed Mihali Dimo), none other than the brother of Dimitrie Mihali Dimo, father of the painter Theodor Aman.
