The work "Facing the Truth" is a metaphor based on the medieval legend of "Bocca della verita" from Rome, according to which anyone who lies or has lied, by inserting their hand, remains captive in this "mouth".
The female character, purified in the water of a calm sea, confidently and courageously heads towards a space guarded by rocks on which the "holder of the truth" is located.
The captured attitude denotes security and determination in confronting the inner self, turning her back on past disappointments and unfulfillments. (Alina Ondine Slimovschi)
