Vizitele la mo?ia de la Saftica erau prilej de a-i împarta?i bunului sau prieten Dimitrie Gerota (1867-1939) planurile, cât ?i realizarile sale. Revenit din nou pe meleagurile natale, Brâncu?i ajungea în 1937?i la Târgu-Jiu- unde urma sa fie trasata aleea ce avea sa uneasca cele trei componente sculpturale Masa tacerii, Aleea scaunelor ?i Coloana fara sfâr?it. În acela?i an, Brâncu?i asista la ceremonia de inaugurare a Por?ii Sarutului, finalizata în anul 1938. (G.M.)
