tempera and gold foil on glaze, gilded frame, 59.5 x 54 cm

The Last Supper is composed with a round table. The Savior Jesus Christ, depicted centrally, is imagined with a hyperbolized figure, thus accentuating the hierarchical perspective of significance. With his right hand, Jesus Christ blesses, and with his left hand he touches Saint John protectively on the shoulder, who is depicted leaning his head, in a sign of love and submission, against the Savior's chest. Around Jesus, the twelve apostles are seated at the table. Judas is painted with the bag of silver in his hand. In the lower register, three scenes from the Savior's life are depicted: The Birth, The Annunciation, and The Baptism. (M.B.) Condition: it has multiple cracks across the entire surface of the icon.
