From the abundance of the Song Dynasty characteristic types of ceramics, the Jun-type glaze bowls are probably the most special and "personal" bowls, as the small rounded parts and their miniature shape allow bowls to fit the shape of hands perfectly. The drops on the edge of "Jun" type vessels are obtained by applying brushes of copper when the glaze is dry, and these drops merge with another hot layer of blue glaze. By contrast, the drop thus provides each vessel thus decorated a unique design.
