On the background of the icon, according to the hermeneutics, in front of conventional architectures, the three angels embodying God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Holy Trinity) are depicted. They are seated at the table, under the oak of Mamre, being hosted by Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 18, 1-15). The composition is centered around the group of the three angels. Behind the angels stand Abraham and Sarah, carrying vessels of food. The edge of the icon presents a decorative element that gives a note of uniqueness to the icon. The balanced composition, color palette, typology of faces, and patterns are typical for the post-Brâncovenesc style of icons from Wallachia from the second half of the 18th century. (A.D.)
