Traditional Romanian blouse, poala skirt, fota skirt and girdle – technically and compositionally, the pieces are representative of the Muscel area, being part of the national costume, used by urban intellectuals as a symbol of their identity and ethnicity. The blouse and poala skirt are woven using cotton lawn, with gilded metallic thread, silk and gilded sequins. The composition of the blouse observes the archaic structure of the Romanian shirt with traditional stitching on top of the sleeve and tripartite structure (altita, waves and welt). It is buttoned manually with a key and finished with eyelets. The fota skirt is made of cotton, with floral weavings made of decorative gold and silver thread, on three sides of the structure with a triple border and a central field. The girdle is decorated using the same technique as for the fota, woven with floral weavings of metallic threads, finished at both ends with decorative tassels.
