Crnčić engraved and printed it at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, where he was a professor from 1907 until the end of his life (1930). Both the copperplate and oil versions of the painter's perception of Jelačić Square as the city's central marketplace have been regularly exhibited at all retrospectives of Crnčić's work, from the first held in the Art Pavilion in 1931 to the recent one prepared in Klovićevi Dvori Gallery in 2016.
