Description

He begins his artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He travels to Norway, the Netherlands, Germany (Franconia, Danzig, Königsberg), and often to Italy (Naples, Rome, Venice), where he is attracted by the atmosphere and endemic architecture of the places. Starting from 1900, he lives in Vienna, where he creates a remarkable number of local views. He is distinguished by marine and architectural landscapes, which he often signs with pseudonyms ("B. Lambert," "Charles Marchand," "C. Charpentier," etc.). (G.M.)
