Description
In the icon's field, bordered by an over-heightened and double-profiled frame, Archangel Michael is rendered in a front position. Represented down to his waist, in a Roman soldier garment, he wears a green tunic, a silver breastplate and a red cape on the shoulders. He holds the raised sword in his right hand, while, in the left hand, he holds the Orb, which has the inscription 'Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty!', written in white. His golden wings have the feathers drawn in red. The traits of the face are rendered by the anonymous painter in a range of ochre tones.
