Description
The Resurrection of the Lord is depicted on one face, Catholic style. Jesus Christ, surrounded by a mandorla, rises from the tomb, next to the sleeping soldiers. On the other side, one can see the Warrior Saints George and Dimitrie, Saint Haralambos and Saint Paraskeva represented standing, on a blue background. The inscriptions for the designation of the scenes are in Romanian, in Cyrillic characters. The painter preserves the tradition of the previous century by means of the way the faces and garments are rendered.
