The Italian geographer and editor Girolamo Ruscelli (1504-1566) published "Geography" by Ptolemy which appeared in several editions, pre and posthumous. These were published between 1561 and 1566. They circulated throughout Europe. The present piece includes Dacia, parts of Greece, Macedonia and the Black Sea coast. Copper engraving.
