Description

The revolutionary, journalist and liberal political leader C. A. Rosetti (1816-1885), president of the Chamber of Deputies, manifested a radical political attitude throughout his life, unlike his good friend Ion C. Brătianu, who became moderate and a loyal collaborator of King Carol I. The two were among the founders of the National Liberal Party which they led as co-presidents between 1875 and 1884 when Rosetti withdrew. The photograph is glued onto an original cardboard of the photographic cabinet, with its letterhead on the back.
