Vocal, polemic, uncomfortable, conflictual, Eugen Barbu remains forever in Romanian literature through his novel "Groapa", but also through the publication "România Mare". The journal contains Eugen Barbu's experience of the effervescent political life of the early 1990s, when the regime change was to influence the history of those years. It also relates events that probably lead to the founding of the Romania Mare Party (PRM), which Corneliu Vadim Tudor, the writer's friend, will lead. The journal also describes the days during the presidential elections of May 1990, the first elections after the ousting of the Romanian Communist Party, and the only ones so far with a single round of voting, which resulted in Ion Iliescu being elected President of Romania. The journal can be a very good documentary material, a study, which could culminate in the publication of these stories as told by the writer.
