In 1843, in Paris, French cartographer Jean Jacques Hellert published, by the publishing house of Bellizard, Dufour@Cie, the first edition of this Atlas of the Ottoman Empire and the neighbouring European, Asian and African states. At the end of his work, there is a wide plan of the capital city, Constantinople, as well as a smaller plan of Vienna, the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The specimen is kept in a binding dating from the second half of the 19th Century, made of cardboard and leather back.
