Obverse: "IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P" Reverse: "SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI / S - C" Translated, the obverse shows the phrase "Imperator, Caesar, Nervae Traiano Augustus, Germanicus, Dacicus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Consul Quintum, Pater Patriae", or "Supreme Commander (Imperator), Caesar, of Nerva Traianus, Augustus (Emperor), conqueror of the Germanic tribes, conqueror of the Dacians, High Priest, holder of the tribunician power, fifth mandate as consule, father of the nation", while the reverse contains the phrase "Senatus Populusque Romanus Optimo Principi.
