The ZX Spectrum is a personal computer created by Sinclair Computers and based on an 8-bit operating system. It was launched in the United Kingdom on 23 April 1982 and became the UK's best-selling microcomputer, competing with the Commodore 64 in the US and the MO5 in France. On April 23, 2012, a Google doodle celebrates the 30th anniversary of Spectrum. As it coincided with Saint George's Day, the logo was of Saint George fighting a dragon in the style of a Spectrum loading screen. As of December 2018, one of the alternate endings in Black Mirror: Bandersnatch featured the main character playing audio after a data tape that, when loaded into a ZX Spectrum software emulator, generates a QR code that leads to a website with a playable version of the Nohzdyve game featured in the episode.
