Cross on a base with three steps. The Byzantine Emperor Constans II was one of the key figures of the Byzantine Empire in his time, which took place in the 7th century. He is often remembered for his daring administrative and military reforms, but also for his complex foreign policy. Constans II managed to consolidate imperial authority and confront external and internal threats in a tumultuous time for Byzantium. Under his leadership, the empire underwent significant transformations. He reorganized the imperial administration, establishing central departments to improve the management of the vast empire. His foreign policy was active and often controversial, he was known for his campaigns against the Arabs and Slavs, thus maintaining the empire's borders in the face of external pressures. Moreover, Constans II is remarkable for the military reforms he introduced, modernizing and strengthening the Byzantine army. These reforms had a significant impact on the empire's ability to respond to external threats and maintain internal security.
