Constantin Piliuță's art reveals over the course of more than five decades of activity, a profound need for harmony and balance, as well as a consistent affinity for synthesis and metaphor. In an artistic landscape often dominated by passing trends, Piliuță remains loyal to a coherent own direction, without stylistic fumbling or experimental hesitations. This consistency has earned him lasting appreciation from the public and a unique position in post-war Romanian art. The present work demonstrates the artist's ability to extract beauty and poetry from seemingly banal subjects. Still nature is not for him a simple exercise in imitation, but becomes an opportunity to explore expressiveness. The represented objects - fruits, flowers, pot or plants - are clearly delimited, each form having a distinct presence. However, this clarity does not exclude expressive freedom, on the contrary, it enhances it: through color and painterly gesture, the artist introduces an affective vibration to each element, an almost alive presence. This expressivity is however a balanced one, far from the impulsive gesture or the impression of the moment. It is born from a sense of measure and plastic order, which Piliuță consistently cultivates. The artist himself stated: "I look at flowers with the eyes of the creator... In these canvasses is my soul; through color and structure I overcome conventionality and sterility of the genre, true studies of chromatic harmonies".The flowers in his painting are not just decorative motifs, but actual characters laden with meanings. They become carriers of human emotions, states of grace, intimacy. Through this approach, Piliuță attributes to painting an affective language and a rare evocative force.
