Trained in Paris, in the spirit of Impressionist painting, artist Dărăscu will impose himself through unique painting, bringing new horizons and concerns in terms of expression and artistic language. By opting for a restricted chromatic range, the painter will adopt the system of interweaving colours in dense, uniform textures, whose value modulations, interwoven with vibrations of tints, will follow the logic of forms and perspective. Spontaneous brushstrokes will subordinate themselves to latent, permanently implied drawing of space and form, as well as alternating planes. An eminent landscape painter of reality, the artist will show a meticulous attention to the painted motifs, which he will treat in detail. From 1924 onwards, we notice in his work an increasing attention to the seascape, created around the Black Sea and the Danube Delta. From the Danube Delta he will head to the shores of the Adriatic Sea, arriving in Italy, where he will remain to work for two years. We will often meet him in Venice as well as in Chioggia. In March 1927, with the works created in this space, he organized a personal exhibition in Bucharest, where he exhibited 47 works, distinguished by an imposing chromaticism and brushwork, executed under the clear directions of nature. Among the works carried out during this period we mention: "Veneția" ("Venice") (1926), "Peisaj din Veneția" ("Landscape of Venice"), "Bărci pe canal" ("Boats on the Canal") (1926), "La Chioggia" ("At Chioggia") (1926) or "Bărci la Chioggia" ("Boats at Chioggia").
