The central board of the triptych has a pedestal painted in light green at its base. On the central board is painted Mother of God with Christ Child. This is rendered as a torso, on a golden background, under a centred arch. Over the blue dress she is draped in a burgundy red maphorion edged with a stripe. Virgin Mary has her head slightly leaned towards the Child Jesus, who holds a rotulus in his left hand and blesses with the right hand. Although the draping of the clothes is executed in angular creases, according to the tradition, and the pattern of the faces is adequate for the previous ages, we may however notice the influence of the Western easel painting at the faces' model. Auras are delimited from the golden background by an incised line. On the left side, split in two registers, is rendered the torso of St. Basil the Great with the Gospel, blessing, and, in the lower part, in a landscape, is rendered St. George, riding and killing the dragon. In the right upper part is painted the torso of St. Haralambos with the Gospel, blessing, and in the lower part, St. Demetrios riding and impaling the unfaithful who fell on the ground with his spear. The warm chromatic tones with dominant red and blue in several shades vibrate on the golden background and give the icon a preciousness aspect. Inscriptions are painted in red.
