The volume is complete, containing (6)+439+(1) pages. The binding, made of brown leather, is adorned with sumptuous motifs framing a cross with decorated arms, all gilded with gold powder, as well as the spine, dating from the 19th century. The book's pages contain numerous notes from readers, Romanians and Ukrainians, as well as a donation entry from the beginning of the 18th century, in the village of Berigovoi, located in the North of historical Maramureș, not far from the old Peri Monastery, today located in Ukraine (p. 30 and 78-93). The number of copies that have arrived and are preserved in Romania is unknown. Single copies are kept in the Library of the Maramureș Bishopric and in Oradea, two more are reported in Bukovina, and two others are in the rare book fund of the Romanian Academy Library and in the Library of the Romanian Patriarchy in Bucharest. This title, written in the Orthodox spirit, contains the hymns for Easter Lent. This book is part of a series of written culture monuments published in Ukraine, in Kiev and Lvov, during the time of Petru Movilă, based on the edition published in Lvov in 1642, under the spiritual patronage of the Romanian humanist scholar, closely following the edition also published in Lvov, in 1663. The title page reveals the translation of the text from Greek to Slavonic, in Ukrainian redaction, and its printing through the efforts of the Stravopighiei, or the Orthodox Brotherhood. On the back of the title page is an engraving with the scene of the Dormition of the Mother of God, the icon of the Brotherhood's patron saint, and below, the Brotherhood's coat of arms accompanied by verses - scenes created in wood by Simion Stavnițki. After the preface, which praises the importance of the hymns in the book, and a message to the readers, the rest of the over 400 pages are occupied with the text of the Triodion. This book was printed by Vasile Stavnițki (who, at the request of the Metropolitan Dosoftei of Moldova, installed the Romanian printing press in Iași), who embellished it with dozens of typically Baroque frontispieces, dozens of ornate or historiated initials, and final vignettes. The graphic layout is exceptional due to the 24+ engravings in wood, owed to the creativity of no fewer than eight engravers, the most well-known being Hieromonk Gheorghe, Atanasie, Vasile Ușakevici, and the famous Ilia Anagnoste (the engraver of Varlaam's famed Homiliary). Noteworthy for the mastery of execution: On p. (6) the engraving with the Crucifixion scene, made by Ilia in 1639. On p. 54 and 65: the engraving of the Last Supper. On p. 82: the engraving with the Crucifixion scene, dated 1636. On p. 112: the engraving with the Entombment scene. On p. 218 the Myrrh-bearing Women, and on p. 285 the Samaritan Woman. On p. 330 and 337 the engravings with the Synaxis of the Mother of God, made in 1663 by Vasile Ușakevici. On p. 408: The Judgment Day scene is also by Vasile Ușakevici. On the last page: the book's epilogue or colophon and a superb engraving with the Lvov Brotherhood's coat of arms. All these graphic elements and engravings turn the book into a work of art.
