80. "Predictions or Teachings for Every Sunday and Holiday of the Year" by Petru Maior, first edition, bound in three volumes, Buda, 1810-1811

Petru Maior (1756-1821), Greek-Catholic cleric, archpriest of Reghin, historian and a noteworthy figure of the Transylvanian Enlightenment, published in Buda 63 sermons between 1810 and 1811, collected in three volumes. The work, even though it was intended for church use and was primarily addressed to Greek-Catholic priests, contains numerous passages of Enlightenment inspiration. The texts are also important from the point of view of the Romanian language spoken in the era in Transylvania. The binding is contemporary. The copy is in good state of preservation.
