In 1905, the Romanian Numismatic Society commissioned a medal dedicated to Mihai Viteazu in Stuttgart. This medal depicts on the obverse Mihai Voda's bust with a fur collar cloak, a hat tilted to the right, with plumage and a brooch on the left side. The semicircular legend: MIHAI VODA THE BRAVE 1593-1601 is engraved on the upper part of the medal. On the reverse, at the top, a seal is engraved, placed on a chrism, depicting the combined coats of arms of Wallachia, Moldova, and Transylvania. Above, the eagle with a cross in its beak, the sun on the left, the moon on the right (the coat of arms of Wallachia), having at its base on a stripe the Slavonic text translated as: "and prayer and love" (to God). Below, a shield on which is applied the head of a bull with a star between its horns, having next to it a rosette on the left and a half-moon on the right (the coat of arms of Moldavia). The shield is supported by the saints Constantine and Helena, who have between them, lower down, two lions holding a straight sword, placed on seven mountain peaks (the coat of arms of Transylvania). On the edge of the seal, the inscription in Slavonic, translated as: "+Io Mihai voivode of Wallachia, Transylvania and Moldavia." At the top of the medal, in a semicircle and continuing on five lines, the legend: THE HERO OF CHRISTENDOM, LVI MIHAI VODA THE BRAVE, LORD OF WALLACHIA, TRANSYLVANIA AND MOLDAVIA IN SIGNS OF GRATITUDE 1601-1901. At the bottom, in small capital letters, is mentioned the issuer: ROMANIAN NUMISMATIC SOCIETY 1905.
