36. The Artist's Model [1928-1929]

Redone and adapted to the new Western trends, the Iserian painting will stand out as simplified, chromatic and constructivist, aiming at an idealistic artistic plan. Fresh in its spontaneous and varied genre, his work of art will stand out for its original vision of the world and life, showing a mysterious unity. He expressed his obvious interest in the human theme right from the start, enriching his repertoire with subjects inspired by the world of drama stage, dance or Orientalism; the nude became one of his frequent themes, alongside portrait and landscape painting.
