Saint George is depicted in the classical stance, riding a white horse, killing the dragon with a spear. In the background, the castle can be seen and, in front of it, the rescued emperor's daughter. Above the saint, the heavens open, and a hand blesses him (the hand of God the Father), and an angel descends holding a platter, on a cluster of clouds. The icon stands out due to the quality of the drawing and of the composition, thus indicating a painter from Șchei who mastered the art of glass painting. (M.B.)
