Marcel Iancu (Marcel Janco) is among the pioneers of the avant-garde Dada movement, alongside personalities such as Tristan Tzara, Hans Arp, Hugo Ball, etc. In his home country, he was involved in publishing magazines such as "Punkt" or "The Contemporary" (he was already associated with the circle of the poet Ion Vinea, who edited this publication); but he will show his avant-garde spirit since high school. He will also be present in groups such as "New Art" or "Criterion". He arrives in Zurich in 1915, where his journey will be directly linked to the Cabaret Voltaire. He also asserts himself in architecture, and one of his most important projects remains the famous "Juster" house in Bucharest, one of the city's first modern homes. In 1941 he arrives in Israel, and in 1953 he lays the foundations of the artistic society in Ein Hod (become an artistic site), located near Haifa. In 1983, the Janco Dada Museum is inaugurated in the same place.
