Mediterranean, nuanced and resonant, the work of artist Ion Pacea materializes in the flavour and fullness of his chromatic palette. In oil, gouache or acrylic techniques, the artist approaches themes such as: the portrait, the landscape, the theme of flowers or the still life. The proposed proportions are vigorously and permanently preserved, and the play of volumes establish the rules of a particular geometry. The balance of volumes is conveyed in the chromatic relationship, the colour being processed in compact masses and in circular tones of a weighted lyricism. (G.M.)
