Obverse: head of Dionysus wearing a vine wreath, to the right. Reverse: Herakles, from the front, leaning on a club and holding the skin of the Nemean lion; Legend: HPAKΛΕΟΥΣ ΣΟΤΕΡΟΣ ΘΑΣΙΟΝ. Area of minting: Greece, in the city of Thassos. Area of circulation: Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria and the territories of northern and southern Dacia. Possible location of discovery: Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary. Conservation status: good. Such coins also circulated on the territory of Dacia, they became a model for thinner imitations, minted also in other centers to refresh the coinage, after in 72 BC. Thassos ceased to mint new ones.
