Constantin Mavrocordat ruled six times in Wallachia and four times in Moldova between 1730 and 1769. The son of the Phanariot ruler Nicolae Mavrocordat, an enlightened spirit, he stood out through a whole reformist and cultural work in the Principalities. Among his important achievements is the printing of the Enaghelia in 1732, in Romanian with Cyrillic characters, initiated by him. The print is made in black and red, with numerous decorative vignettes. From a graphic point of view, the coat of arms of Wallachia and the political devotion verses can be observed on the back of the title page, while in the interior of the book a series of ornaments taken from the typography founded by Antim Ivireanul are distributed. The copy is complete, has been restored and is kept in a good state of conservation. The binding is of the period. The covers are made of wooden plates covered in leather. On the first page, after the title page, there is a collector's bookplate.
