The 19th century Persian vessel illustrates a licentious scene from a Persian brothel, where dancers with daring gestures and playful expressions are caught in the midst of an exuberant atmosphere. One of the characters is pouring from a flask, subtly suggesting the idea of seduction and pleasure. In the middle of the scene, the symbol of the goat appears distinct, an emblem deeply rooted in Persian tradition, dating back to 2500 B.C. The goat, often associated with the symbolism of January - the tenth month according to the Persian calendar - is surrounded by pomegranate flowers, another symbol of fertility and rebirth. These iconographic elements suggest not only a connection with time and nature, but also with the rituals and cultural traditions of the Persians, blending mythology with everyday reality in an artistic and evocative manner. It has a defect on the upper side of the vessel.
