Iosif Berman is considered the first Romanian photographer who has made journalistic reports. He was an official photographer of the Royal House, as well as field photographer of the renowned sociologist Dimitrie Gusti. Pictures taken by him were published in "National Geographic", "The New York Times" or "London Express".
