Titu Maiorescu, leader of the Junimea Society based at the time in Iași and professor at the University of the capital of Moldova, was accused of violating good morals. The plot, which turned out to have no object, was orchestrated by his political rival, the liberal Nicolae Ionescu, himself a professor at the University of Iași. The present work contains all the documents of the trial, published at the initiative of Maiorescu's friends after the conclusion of the legal proceedings and the declaration of innocence of the leader of the Junimea. The copy is part of a rare edition. The main cover is damaged.
