The All Seeing Eye - a Symbol of Divinity and, by way of analogy, of His most important attributes to man: love, omniscience, justice and mercy. The eye was chosen as the symbol of various gods in ancient Egypt and India. It later became a renowned and established symbol of the divine Providence in Christianity (the eye in the triangle). It is very likely that this was the source that gave it to Freemasonry. One of the most important representations of the All Seeing Eye can be found on the $1 note. It reproduces the Great Seal of the United States.
