"Intact seal, "High Neck". The label is in excellent state of preservation considering its age. Balthasar Klossowski de Rola (February 29th 1908 in Paris - February 18th 2001 in Rossinière, Switzerland), also known as Balthus, was a Polish-German-French artist, exponent of modern art. A controversial figure of the twentieth century, he rejected the conventions of traditional art, being one of the most representative personalities of painting during this period. He always believed that his paintings should be viewed and not subjected to analytical debate, about what they might be. In this sense, the situation is famous where a telegram is received at the Tate Gallery in 1968, where a retrospective of his works was being exhibited, which stated: "There are no biographical data. Balthus is a painter about whom nothing is known, let's look at the paintings." This bottle in particular is part of the series that was banned for sale in the United States of America, because of the nudity on the label.
