The 1953 Youth and Students World Festival was an event organized by the communist regime in Bucharest, which wanted, on the one hand, to assert itself internationally, and, on the other hand, to show that it is strong enough inside. Before the festival began, several students considered suspects by the regime were arrested. The poster was printed in Bucharest and reproduced a Soviet poster.
