On the blue background of the icon, painted in green, in the lower part, is represented Jesus Christ, as Emperor and High Priest, sitting on an impressive baroque style chair similar to the chairs painted in the ''classic'' Brâncovenesc style, which is proof that the painter was inspired by a model from the respective age. The chair has its settee straight, the back rest high up to the shoulders' level, it is slightly curved, and the side parts are sculpted with large golden vegetal motives, of Baroque origin. Both the settee and the back rest are decorated with strings of pearls. Jesus wears a green sakkos with embroideries on the sleeves and strings of pearls on the lap. Above him lies a red omoforo with a stripe and golden crosses, and a golden hierarchic mitre, richly adorned with precious stones, lies on his head. He blesses with his right hand and holds The Gospel opened in his left hand (Matthew, 25,14). The representation of the intercessors in standing posture, behind the chair, is related to the same tradition: The Mother of God and St. John the Baptist, represented wearing traditional clothes painted in red, green and ochre. The auras are adorned with incised points. The painter observes the typology of the characters' faces, but these are rendered more graphically. Taken as a whole, the composition of the scene and the making of the icon's painting prove, on one hand, that the painter is talented, and, on the other hand, the force of the Brâncovenesc style which had survived for ca. 100 years through the post-Brâncovenesc style formula. The wide frame which borders the sculpted and painted icon is fit for the mentioned style.
