The impressive work was published to mark the 50th anniversary of the reign of the emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Franz Joseph, and was dedicated to him. It includes 50 colored maps and numerous decorative vignettes. The binding is from the period, made of pergamon, and the main cover is decorated with the province's coat of arms. On the first white page, there is a handwritten dedication signed Catargi. The spine and corners of the covers show signs of wear over time.
