The three photographs capture moments during the visit that the President of France, Charles de Gaulle, undertook in Romania in 1968. The images feature de Gaulle and Ceaușescu, communist ministers Ion Gheorghe Maurer and George Macovescu. The lot is completed by an invitation to the reception organized at the French Embassy in Bucharest by President de Gaulle, addressed to the Foreign Minister George Macovescu and his wife.
