On the obverse: in the foreground of the medal, in five medallions, are represented the effigies of the kings ruling the countries participating in the war of 1913, namely: centrally, in a larger medallion, of 3.30 x 2.60 cm, King Carol I is represented, the patron of peace, and on each side of him, symmetrically positioned, are four smaller medallions (of 2.30 x 1.80 cm), surrounded by olive and oak branches, where are represented: the king of Serbia, Peter I (upper-left), the king of Montenegro, Nicholas I (lower-left); the king of Bulgaria, Ferdinand I (upper-right) and the king of Greece, Constantine XII (lower-right). Above the effigies, it is written on three rows, with capital letters, in different sizes: "TRATATUL DE PACE/ DE LA/ BUCUREȘTI" (meaning: THE PEACE TREATY / OF / BUCHAREST); at the bottom, also on three rows, the date of the peace is written, both in the old style and in the new style, ie: "DIN / 28 IULIE / 10 AUGUST / 1913" (meaning: FROM/ JULY 28/ AUGUST 10, 1913). The iconography described is delimited from the rest of the medal by a frame, on which are also represented - in line with each effigy - small medallions with the initials of the respective kings, but also with the royal coat of arms of the corresponding country. All are connected by a stylized chain thread, suggesting the permanence of the concluded peace. Beyond this, at the bottom of the medal, in the left dial is the author's name: "C. Alessandrescu"; on the right are the inscribed initials: "M.F. OF S.N.R.". Finally, the whole described ensemble is delimited by the edge of the medal by another contour, consisting of small lines and dots. On the reverse of the medal, centrally, there is a 7.30 cm medallion, marked by a dotted edge, which has in the foreground Peace, embodied by a woman who holds in her left hand, down, a parchment with the inscription "PAX" ("Peace"), and in her right hand lifts a bunch of olive leaves, as a symbol of victory, stepping on a cannon barrel, from under which rise other branches of olive and oak, symbols of the same victory. On the background of the medallion, on the left, is represented the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest, on a solar background, which covers the entire upper semicircle of the medal, over which is written in Latin: "TRANQUILLITATIS" (left) and "EUROPAE" (right), meaning: "PEACE EUROPE". Beyond the described medallion, on the free portion (8 mm) to the edge of the medal, in five dials delimited by vegetal elements, are inscribed the names of the members of each delegation present at the Peace Conference in Bucharest, with capital letters (2 x 1.5 mm) and on three rows. Starting at the top and moving to the right, the ones listed are: * "T. Maiorescu - Al. Marghiloman/ Take Ionescu - C.G. Dissescu/ General Coanda - Col. C. Cristescu" - for Romania; * "D. Tontcheff - General Fitcheff/ Dr. S. Ivantchoff - S. Radeff/ Lt. Colonel Stancioff" - for Bulgaria; * "E.K. Venizelos - D. Panas/ N. Politis - Cap. A. Exadactylos/ Captain C. Pali" - for Greece; * "General Serdar I. Vukotich/ I. Matanovitch" - for Montenegro; * "Nik. P. Pachitch - M.G. Ristitch/ M. Spalaikovitch - Col. K. Smilianitch/ Lt. Colonel F. Kalavatovitch" - for Serbia.
