Starting from impressionism and reaching the modern school of Paris, Francisc Gall studies extensively the compositional principles of drawing and excels in applying them to his works. He finds his inspiration in simple things, taken from daily life and immediate reality - a table, a chair, a vase with flowers or a piano will become the main subjects of his work. After studies in Rome and Paris, the artist will settle permanently in France, and his work will begin to be appreciated on foreign lands and will receive the recognition of his hosts in the form of various distinctions. Now, his palette begins to open up and take on the brightness of the Impressionists. His beloved subjects: music, and especially the piano, which along with works dedicated to dance bring the Romanian painter close to the work of the French artist Edgar Degas, become a style mark in the economy of his creation. The Opera of Paris, with its grand building and the whole tumult of the city concentrated in the unfolding of strokes invades the plastic space and reveals to us a fragment of history. The main institution dedicated to opera and ballet in France was founded in 1669 by the King of France himself, Louis XIV. The name of the institution has evolved over time, but the direction has remained the same. During the period when the famous musician Jean Baptiste Lully was in charge, it was called the "Académie d'Opéra". The institution is currently divided between two different locations: Palais Garnier and Opera Bastille. The Garnier Opera House (Palais Garnier) was built between 1865 and 1875 at the request of Emperor Napoleon III. His name is a tribute to the architect who stood behind the grandiose construction, Charles Garnier. The Bastille Opera was inaugurated much later, in 1989. At present, the Palais Garnier serves predominantly ballet performances. It is also an undeniable landmark at the level of Paris and France, as well as worldwide, in terms of artistic specifics. Some of the world's greatest composers made their debut on the stage of the Paris Opera: Rossini, Verdi, Wagner, Massenet, Rameau and others. The ballet company is also renowned for its world tours, and famous choreographers like George Balanchine, Rudolf Nureyev, Roland Petit or Pina Bausch have created memorable shows at the same location.
