Lucian Sandu-Milea is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at UAUIM, works as an artist (street-art, illustrator and 3D graphic designer), architect and organizer of cultural events, founding member of the Carol 53 project. The artwork in the current auction is a representation in abstract expression of the relationship between the built (mineral) part of the city and the vibrant and dynamic part of the human presence in the city. The intense chromaticism at the centre of the work refers to moving cars, the colours of advertisements, artificial lighting and the clothing of passers-by framed by shades of grey that allude to the materiality of the buildings and streets or industrial areas of the city. The artwork explores the composition and decomposition of the city with reference to how light is composed and decomposed in the chromatic spectrum. The unique technical composition facilitates a unique view of the work through stereoscopic glasses for a 3D chromatic effect.
