124. "Didahii, or teachings for the upbringing of children", by Petru Maior, first edition, Buda, 1809, rare, collectible piece

The work was printed in the University of Buda's print shop. The format is in 4º, with a title page, 2 unnumbered leaves including a preface and 139 numbered pages in Cyrillic characters, comprising 15 Didanii. It presents typographic elements representing the printer's mark, initials, frontispieces, and end vignettes, with 30 rows in full page, the mirror of the text 17.5 x 14 cm. The binding is of monastic invoice, restored, made of cardboard and leather. The spine was replaced during restoration. The last page was also restored. The main cover is centrally decorated with the scene of the Holy Trinity, surrounded by a medallion decorated with vegetal elements.
