The photograph captures a musical evening organized by Queen Elizabeth of Romania at Peles Castle. In front of Elizabeth, standing, is the young George Enescu, the queen's protege. Next to the queen appears her main lady-in-waiting, Zoe Bengescu (in the first row, behind the queen) and to her right, in the middle of the group of musicians, is Grigoraș Dinicu, also a regular at the musical events at Peles. The photograph includes in the lower right corner the embossed mark of the photographer which is also in the corner of the original cardboard on which the photograph is attached. On the cardboard, above and below the photograph, there are two texts printed at the time that provide context for the image.
